Tetiaroa, March 9, 2021:

French Polynesia travel restrictions and temporary closure extension of The Brando resort

Due to the current situation which remains uncertain for the tourism industry, we wanted to provide you with an update on the decision we have to take.

As a response to the increased threat of the new strains of Covid-19 in metropolitan and overseas French territories, and because of French Polynesia travel restrictions (Only travels for compelling reasons are allowed: health, professional, family, return home), we have to extend the temporary closure of The Brando from March 31, 2021, to April 30, 2021.

The resort shall reopen on May 1st, 2021; this estimated date remains subject to change, depending on the evolution of the borders regulations and policies. We will still maintain several functions active within the resort to ensure a quick and efficient reopening of our property when the time comes.

Modification and cancellation policy
All stays initially scheduled for April 2021 may be postponed, at no charge, within 12 months of the original stay dates (stays postponed to higher rates seasons will require a price adjustment).
Alternatively, stays initially scheduled for April 2021 are eligible for reimbursement though the scheduled reimbursement period follows EU laws and allows the resort 12 months (from the bookings’ dates of stay) to be executed. For example, requesting a refund for a booking from April 15 – 20, 2021 could result in receiving the refund in April 2022, according to EU laws.

Our reservation service remains open and available by phone (+689 40 866 366) and by email (reservation@thebrando.com).

We invite all guests and partners to keep informed about the situation in French Polynesia through these official channels:

We deeply regret this situation and would like to renew our sincere gratitude for your ongoing support. We are looking forward to welcoming our guests again as soon as possible on Tetiaroa Private Island.

With our best regards.
